Crittenton Receives Provider Excellence Award from UniCare

Crittenton Services, Inc. recently received the Provider Excellence Award from UniCare for an ongoing commitment to exceptional patient care and service. CEO & President, Kathy Szafran, accepted the award on behalf of Crittenton and Wellspring Family Services from Melissa Duncan, Behavior Health Director at UniCare.

Crittenton Services, Inc. was recognized as part of a record review of the Outpatient services provided to UniCare members.  A review of the records indicated a dedication to quality of care, with little to no citations for deficiencies.  Crittenton Services, Inc. met the UM Guidelines for UniCare members. UniCare was able to validate that medical necessity for the services were documented with assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes – which were all present.  The review indicated that all the services for UniCare members were well documented and necessary, and not missing from the clinical record. 

Melissa Duncan said, “A true picture of the members’ progress through treatment can be captured with your excellent documentation. We have reviewed roughly 50 providers so far, and Crittenton is the only one to receive this recognition.”
